Summer Days

Here is a little of what we have been up to over the summer so far....

Everyday Jim walks in the door after working outside all day in the AZ heat and the 1st thing Chase says to him is "daddy you wanna go play baseball outside??"
It is impossible to say no to him because he is in full baseball get-up ready to go.
So Jim forces a smile on his face and goes back outside to sweat and watch Chase hit the ball up the street and run like crazy!!!

Of course the pool is by far our greatest investment....out there EVERYDAY!!!

My friends came up with this insane idea to go to the zoo one day in the 100 degree weather?? Luckily there are two different splash pads there for the kids to cool off.

We have brought Chase to 2 different Diamondbacks games in the past few weeks.
Tatum was there for the first one. No matter where we are, at 8:00 pm the child falls asleep. Doesn't matter where or how noisy??? That is how Tatum has always been....kinda nice feature though!
Not Chase??
In fact the last game we went to Chase wanted to stay the WHOLE game!! (Tatum was spending the week at her cousin's house with Uncle Brian and Aunt Sandy).
And so we did..... 12 innings and 11:30 at night and he was still bright eyed and loving it!!!

SAN DIEGO

We got away to San Diego a few weeks back and enjoyed some beach time.

A highlight for the kids, "the hot pool" as they fondly called it.

Don't get it myself?? We stayed in a hotel right on the beach and they were all about "the hot pool".

We have discovered a public pool near us that has water slides, a zero entry pool with slides and sprayers, and a lazy river.
We have been there a few times... the kids love it!!
I could never get a good picture of Chase. He was always too fast (go figure).
Even Tatum LOVES these ginormous water slides.
Although the last time we were back they wouldn't let her on them again...the particular girl working said she was too short??
Tatum was crushed!! She may be tiny but she loved it!! We will be back- I'll just put the piggies up higher on her head to give her some height!!!
