Family

A bittersweet trip to Bloomington, Illinois to pay tribute together and mourn the all to short life of my Uncle John.

The first snow of the season the first night we were there...

Ugh... finally I get the driveway all shoveled!!

Whatever... I guess Aaron's pre snow blow was actually what cleared the drive.
Everyone loved my pose though ;)

A difficult but beautiful memorial service.
My uncle was truly an incredible man who touched and privileged the lives of so many.

Cousins...

It was so nice that we were all together.

My dad all bundled up to be able to go outside...
I am pretty sure the Michelin man here can't even move his arms!

Snow Angel Time!!

Sledding!!

How wierd is it that sooo many cars seemed to drive by??
Haven't they ever seen grown adults playing out in the front yard in the snow before??

Back inside to warm up and EAT!!
A big thank you to all who brought meals by around the clock.
I have NEVER seen so much food and won't be eating again now for weeks!

My dad all set in his chair by the fire.

It looks all sunny now but the high was only in the 20's...brrrr!

My uncle had a book published just months before he passed. I only have about 100 pages left to read and am so proud of him! It is a wonderful read!!! Even Chase was proud and intrigued when I told him about it so I'll be sharing it with him too :)

I am so grateful we had so many of us together and hope we can make an effort to come together more often! I have a wonderful family!!

**See you all in July ;)
