Chase's Birthday celebration at home with all the grandparents and family.

He has been having tons of fun with that!!
Chase is also decked out now with new Diamondback shirts and a Cubs shirt.

We took Chase's best neighborhood buddy (and his little sister as well who is Tatum's best friend) out for a day of bowling and pizza to celebrate.

This picture is cute because Tatum and Reese are giving each other five.

Got out with my friends last weekend to see Keith Urban in concert.
We had fantastic seats and a great night out.

He even walked right by us during the concert at one point...
Was an awesome show!!

Of course if you are a part of this family your birthday extends throughout the entire week!
So here are the kids at Chucke Cheese with their good friends that we have known several years now.

Chase wanted to get cupcakes that had bright blue frosting..

They always have a great time together and stick together.

Okay if you have made it this far you are in for a treat!!
Lately our friends Matt and Missy have been seeing their first scorpions at their house.
We get them on and off ourselves.
They freak me out quite frankly and make my skin crawl but I guess we are in the desert?
Jim and Matt have become slightly obsessed with taking them on and ridding them from their domains.
They have both gotten blacklights (which help you to see them at night as they will glow in the dark.....creepy!!) And Jim has some sort of goggles which make you see them glowing as well?
So this is what our men do at night when the sun goes down....
They scope out the perimeter of the backyard watching for them. Now Matt, at his own house, seeks them out and goes at them with a blowtorch. We don't have this luxurious necessity at our house so when joining forces the other night they had to improvise with a lighter and some flamable brake fluid.
So, Jim is in the lead with the handy blacklight and Matt has his back with the fire hazard as our children watch on in wonder.
(Missy and I are laughing hysterically and wondering how much longer we have to oversee the kids' safety until we can get back into the house)
They were successful in their mission!
They were able to locate 3 scorpions and torch them to their demise.

With school starting next Monday we can't wait for what they may be telling their friends.
