Cabin Fever

We have been planning a cabin getaway since February and looking forward to heading Northeast to a cabin in Greer, AZ for some outdoor fun.
Greer is located in the White Mountains on the banks of the little Colorado River. With an elevation of 8500 feet the summer temps were perfect.

The grounds and cabin were beautiful and didn't disappoint.
No cell phone service here deep in the heart of Greer made for an even more relaxing family getaway.

Fishing

Tatum was into fly fishing.
She had the technique down and loved it.

Grandma and Grandpa Grisham came along with us.
It was a great time escaping the 110 degree temps in Phoenix for the Greer's 45 degree lows at night and perfect 80 degree daytime temps.
Chase was very excited to fly fish as well, however he is not one to stand still for long.
He and I were often back and forth to the cabin.

Luckily their dad made several catches!

Grandma was close by guiding Tatum who could do this for hours.

The cabin had a spa or "hot pool" as the kids like to call it.
Ole Greer Lodge will be having to add quite a bit of water to this thing now that we are gone.
Don't think this was intended for the many cannonballs these two managed to perform.

Some relaxing time...

Hike

Found a great little hiking trail.

I told Chase he should be a little more quiet (something very hard for him), take in and enjoy nature.
He did this...too funny!

Perfect day out and really cool trail.

Ending the hike with an ice cream treat. Just doesn't get any better.

Good Times Spent Messing Around

Whoops...hope he doesn't drop her...

Fun was had in the river behind the cabin.

These sweet looking geese were a bit territorial if you got too close.
They are after Chase.

We saw several deer out for a snack.

A back view of our cabin.
