Cute and Crazy Cousins

We'll start with Tatum's 1st Dance Recital!

She is so shy around people that we weren't sure how she would do with getting on stage?
Here are some of the girls in the dressing room together before showtime.

She absolutely loved it though. Smiled throughout the whole dance and did so great!!!

We even ordered her her own dance trophy!!!

She was so proud and she even grabbed my camera the other day and took a picture of her dance picture.

Here is me (a few years back)....
My 1st Dance recital picture!!

Who knows if she will stick with it as many years as I did?? I was so proud to watch her out there though!!

Cousins

Emily came to stay with us and it is always a blast for the cousins to be together!

I love this shot!! The girls both wanted ponytails and were very excited that I put in matching bows :)

Donut day!!
Emily told me it was the "best day ever"!!

They were up VERY early every morning!! Day 1 Tatum and Emily were up at 4 am!?
Just too much anticipation to start the day together!
Chase and Emily were the two early risers the 2nd day...

Girls... always dancing together.

Our wedding anniversary was on the 14th so we made it a special night.
The kids made their own pizza dough and pizzas and Jim and I had a steak meal!

It will still be a special memorable anniversary for us!
The kids even performed random dancing and entertained us.

Emily brought with her matching homemade necklaces for her and Tatum and Chase already had a similar one so they all wore them the whole time. They kept saying they were at camp together.

I will spare you all the very long video of what seemed like an endless puppet show they performed for us.
They were so cute though and made little puppets on popsicle sticks and colored pictures that they changed out for the different scenes.
Here is a shot of them during their show...

A lot of time was spent in the pool so a lot of meals were eaten outside too.

Nothing like wandering around together eating ice cream bars.

Emily LOVED the pool!!
We could hardly keep her out.
She would be up at 5 am asking me when she could go swimming??
One morning she played outside with a jacket on because she was cold but still asked me if she could go swimming yet?

The girls lounging...

Hours upon hours were spent in the pool...

All together at grandma's house...

Aside from Emily getting a slight sunburn on her legs, a cut on her toe and I'll admit I think they may have actually eaten paper at one point (they made, cut out, and I believe consumed a few pretend paper marshmallows), we all survived!
All in all I think it went well and they had a good time.

What wonderful pictures, Linda!! I especially like the ones of the cousins together - brought back memories of the summer of 1981! It sounds like it was a great anniversary day too. Aunt Mary Ann

Thanks Aunt Mary Ann! I have such great memories of that particular summer with Sarah and Justin! As well as the other times we all got together. I hope these guys will remember these summers together too. Heather, sadly those are indeed the moves Jim attempts. It is much cuter out of a 7 year old. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree :)
