Celebrating Milestone Birthdays

We celebrated my father-in-law and sister-in-laws birthdays over the weekend.
Turning 65 and 30 this past week!!!
Had a great dinner at Macaroni Grill and then back to our house for some special gifts and cake.

My cake creation...

It really makes for a great memory when Chase and Tatum are excited and even eager to help decorate with me :)
Tatum says all the time that she hopes to make cakes too as she grows up.

A new golf club for Grandpa...

Singing the Happy Birthday song is quite animated with a 6 and 8 year old. Chase is in mid "Cha Cha Cha" here.

Happy Birthday to you guys!!
Had a great time celebrating!!

Silly Bands

The newest craze amongst school age kids...
The "Silly Band"
They are bracelets that once taken off are in the shape of something in particular.
Tatum has horse shaped and puppy ones. Chase has Robot, puzzle piece and world landmark ones.
They wear some to school and trade with their friends. It is BIG at the school!!
I have a friend at their school that calls them a "silly waste of money" which is so true but they all love them.

My own milestone...
I have been running!! This is SO not like me and a big/HUGE challenge for me!!
Those of you who know me know I will do just about anything BUT run!
My hope is to be able to do a 1/2 marathon in January??
Who knows?? For now I am just training and mentally preparing myself, hoping to be prepared enough to go through with it.
